About the role

In this role, you will work with other designers, from ideation to impact, for improving and growing the core experience on our product. This includes the SplashLearn web & app offering for child and parent. Your mission will be to make SplashLearn the most loved learning game for children and the most useful learning tool for parents. Towards this goal, you’d be collaborating with a team of designers, product managers &  copy writers 

As part of the mission you would oversee high quality, pixel perfect design of projects towards engaging, and getting more users to the platform. Here are three ongoing projects that will give you an idea of the kind of work this charter entails: 

  • Improving the parent onboarding journey to include personalisation of the app basis the child’s unique learning needs. 
  • Helping us define & build our differentiated tutoring and mentor offering that combines the best of live tutoring & interactive game-play into new to world learning experience
  • Experiment with a best freemium experience for parents


You are a UX designer who is hungry to learn and create. You think empathy is a skill that can be honed, not just a trait you are born with. You make things because it feels good. You ask “why” until no one has answers, then you find the answer yourself. As a product designer you will also be expected to design the overall functionality of the product, and in order to ensure a great user experience, iterate upon it in accordance with user-testing

What you’ll be doing every day:

  • Adopt and enforce modern UX best practices.
  • Facilitate the product vision by researching, conceiving, sketching, prototyping and user-testing experiences for digital products.
  • Partner with the PMs, engineers, content writers, researchers and business teams to define problems & goals, establish the right scope, map user flows, prototype interactions, define user journeys & interfaces that help launch new products and services.
  • Design and deliver wireframes, user stories, user journeys, and mockups optimized for a wide range of devices and interfaces.
  • Identify design problems and devise elegant solutions.
  • Make strategic design flow and user-experience decisions related to core, and new, functions and features.
  • Take a user-centered design and flow approach and rapidly test and iterate your designs.
  • Ask smart questions, take risks and champion new ideas.
  • Help establish SplashLearn as a leader in user first design by sharing learnings & experiences with the outside world.

What you bring to the table:

  • 3 or more years of UX design experience. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience designing complex solutions for complete digital environments.
  • Expertise in standard UX software such as Figma, Sketch, InVision, Adobe Suite and the like is a must. 
  • Extensive experience in using UX design best practices to design solutions.
  • Ability to iterate designs and solutions efficiently and intelligently.
  • Ability to clearly and effectively communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions to the team.
  • A clear understanding of the importance of user-centered design and design thinking.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team setting including synthesizing abstract ideas into concrete design implications.
  • A solid grasp of user-centered design (UCD), user research, user testing, A/B testing, rapid prototyping, heuristic analysis, usability and accessibility concerns.
  • Be passionate about resolving user pain points through great design and research
  • Be passionate about all things UX and other areas of design and innovation. Research and showcase knowledge in the industry’s latest trends and technologies.
